Another year, another birthday. I was so keen on doing something for my birthday this year and I had everything planned out, but at the end of it all I didn’t do anything to celebrate. It’s funny because as I grow older, I find myself less inclined to celebrate my birthday.

Now, I don’t think it’s because I’m getting older or have the fear of getting old – my mid-twenties have been the best years of my life and my 26^th year so far has been AMAZING. I guess, I just didn’t have the energy to actually go out and celebrate.

With the planning of not celebrating my birthday, I did pick out the dress I wanted to wear in the event that I would have actually gone through with my celebration plans. I’ve had this Aritzia dress for about 2 years now, and it has been sitting in my closet, tags intact. The silhouette of this dress is soooooooo flattering and the black and white monochromatic colours make the dress very current (given that I’ve had it for about 2 years now, I can firmly say that it is still in style).

Onto the shoes. OMG how fabulous are these Nine West pumps??? I recently purchased them from DSW Canada (the Etobicoke location). I am a huge Nine West fan – not only are their heels comfortable, but their shoes tend to have a narrow fit (a total bonus for those of us who struggle to find narrow shoes because of our skinny feet).
